What is Letybo 50 IU?
Letybo 50 IU is a new Botulinum Toxin Type A, now available and approved for use in the UK.
Letybo is indicated for use to treat and reduce the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines, (wrinkles and vertical lines between the eyebrows and forehead) in adults.
One vial contains 50 units of botulinum toxin type A produced by Clostridium botulinum. After reconstitution, each 0.1ml of solution contains 4 units. The recommended dose is a total of 20 units, divided into 5 injections of 4 units each (0.1ml).
What are the side effects?
The side effects are minimal, but you may experience reactions at the injection site, such as swelling, which should fade within 48 hours. You may also experience a headache, dropping of the eyelids, twitching eyelids, head discomfort, and bruising, which should fade within 1 to 2 weeks.
Who should not use Letybo 50 IU?
You should not use Letybo if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
