Letybo is a new Botulinum Toxin Type A, now available and approved for use in the UK, launched by aesthetic manufacturer Croma-Pharmacy.
What is Letybo?
Anti-wrinkle injections are incredibly popular aesthetics treatments worldwide. They are ideal for patients looking to turn back the clock. New toxin options are frequently arising, and with that brings Letybo, which launched in early 2022.
Letybo can be used to treat the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines, which are lines between the eyebrows and forehead, in adults under 75 years old.
Like most toxin products, Letybo works by causing temporary paralysis to the muscle in the injected area, to relax the muscle and soften deep wrinkles. This will result in a more youthful look. You can buy Letybo Botox online here.
What is the recommended dose?
One vial contains 50 units of botulinum toxin type A produced by Clostridium botulinum. It is a powdered solution, which needs to be reconstituted with a diluent, such as sodium chloride 0.9%. Each 0.1ml of the solution contains 4 units. The recommended dose is a total of 20 units, divided into 5 injections of 4 units (0.1ml).
What are the side effects?
The side effects are minimal, but you may experience reactions at the injection site, such as swelling, which should fade within 48 hours. You may also experience a headache, dropping of the eyelids, twitching eyelids, head discomfort, and bruising, which should fade within 1 to 2 weeks.
Who is an ideal patient and who should not have Letybo?
Letybo is indicated for adults under the age of 75, with deep or severe glabellar lines. However, we recommend having a full consultation with a medical professional before any treatment. They will be able to help you decide whether Letybo or anti-wrinkle injections are suitable for you.
You should not use Letybo if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Only fully trained physicians should administer this product. You can find out more about Letybo here.
